Twelve hours into Phantasy Star Zero:

Ever since the day I laid hands on Phantasy Star Portable on the PSP, I'd taken a liking to the series.

One thing I really like about any game at all is the abillity to customize your character avatar with cool equipment/weapons and costumes; PstarP offered just that, and It's pretty much the entire explanation behind my fondness for it.

Whatever happened to Pstar 0? Did they just get lazy and decide to dismiss the feature?

Another thing I'm dissatisfied with is the 'Timed-Combo' mechanic, where in order to chain your basic melee attacks you have the press the button on a specific timing. I suppose I have to compliment their efforts at attempting something novel, but I feel that just makes the battles extremely slow-paced. It doesn't help that the weakest monsters take like over ten hits to die.

I'm level 27 and I'm still dealing 50+ damage. Something is wrong with that -.-

On a side note, I've been wondering what's with the trend of programming monster HPs to sky-high figures? (E.g. God Eater, Monster Hunter; takes like fucking hours just to plow through the normal mobs.)

Is that some dumb scheme in prolonging the game duration??

Okay that's pretty much all I have to gripe about Pstar 0.

My verdict: It's a mediocre game meant solely for killing some free time.

(The storyline is stereotypical bullshit, don't bother lol)

The ending was kinda... half-assed??? o_o

I started hating Usui sometime after episode 23 and since then I'd already figured I was going to hate the ending no matter what (any retard could tell they would end up together eventually).

Seriously, Misaki would've been better off with Shintani.   

I hate how Usui's being all pushy and playing hard-to-get. It pisses me offfffffffffff~

It's such a dissapointment. I was expecting so much out of this series seeing as how I've always f0und Shoujo animes to be entertaining; e.g. Itazura na Kiss, Kare Kano.
